The Value Optimization team is a dedicated set of resources concentrated on one question: how much bigger could this business become, and how do we get there? The answer spans organic growth levers (commercial, go-to-market, pricing, and new products and markets) and inorganic levers (M&A).

Our job is to help accelerate growth: bring resources, pattern recognition, and the conviction to pursue the biggest opportunities. We're a strategic sounding board for the leaders we back, building partnership with respect and deference to the expertise that has gotten you this far.

By the end of an engagement, it's the portfolio company's own team who present the growth they've delivered. Most operating support shows up after the deal closes. Ours starts at thesis generation (as part of deciding if we can be the right partners for your business) and continues through the entire journey.

Thesis
Our Value Optimization team is with the deal team from the start, evaluating what opportunities we could create and what makes Greenbelt the right investor for a company.
Diligence
We form a hypothesis on the pools of value, built on extensive pattern recognition across commercial and operational diligences, and shape what we test during our initial process.
Sign to Close
We socialize the value hypothesis with management — where do you agree, disagree, push it further? — and evolve it into a long-term business plan, with the phasing of each lever and the resources required.
Post-Close
Alongside our deal team, we work to gather management buy-in on the five-year plan, stand up KPI tracking against the waterfall, and mobilize third-party resources where needed.
Hold
We establish a regular cadence to re-evaluate progress against the plan and adjust, turbocharging what works and unblocking sticking points.
Exit Prep
We synthesize the outcomes: what was built, what was invested, and the capabilities the company now carries forward.
