CTC Global

Greenbelt's 2024 investment in CTC will accelerate the growth of the advanced-conductor technology that lets the existing grid carry far more power without building new transmission corridors.

The bottleneck isn't generation. It's the wire.

New transmission corridors take decades to permit and construct. As demand from electrification, advanced manufacturing, and data-center buildout keeps climbing, utilities and grid operators face mounting pressure to extract more capacity from the infrastructure they already have.

CTC Global (“CTC” or the “Company”), founded in 2011 and headquartered in Irvine, California, is a specialty engineer and manufacturer of aluminum conductor composite cores (“ACCC®”) for high-voltage transmission cables. Its signature products — ACCC®, ACCC InfoCore®, and GridVista™ — address the critical need to modernize aging grid infrastructure and reduce greenhouse-gas emissions, and are deployed across utilities and end users worldwide.

For utilities and transmission operators facing congestion and interconnection backlogs, CTC's products offer a faster path forward — doubling capacity on existing towers, reducing line losses, managing sag, and increasing efficiency without new rights-of-way or extended construction timelines. Greenbelt invested in 2024 to accelerate deployment of CTC's technology in the US and abroad.

From Proven Technology to Grid-Scale Mandate

2011
Early Foundations

Founded in Irvine, California

CTC Global is founded with a single mission: improving the capacity, efficiency, and reliability of electric power grids worldwide. Its first product, the ACCC® conductor, is launched commercially after almost a decade of development with leading labs, universities, and utilities.

2020
Product · InfoCore

Launch of ACCC InfoCore®

CTC launches ACCC InfoCore®, which reduces conductor installation risk through a proprietary infrared light system, special fibers in the core, and a robust data-capture methodology that confirms the post-stringing integrity of the conductor in minutes.

Launch of the GridVista™ System

CTC launches GridVista™, embedding high-temperature optical fiber within the composite core of the ACCC® conductor — turning transmission lines into intelligent, self-reporting assets that deliver continuous real-time data to detect anomalies, predict failures, and optimize line ratings.

Deployed Across the World's Grids

ACCC conductors are in service across thousands of projects, and CTC continues to expand its deployment footprint across high-voltage infrastructure worldwide.

Doubling the Grid — on the Towers We Already Have

Reconductoring is among the fastest, lowest-friction ways to expand grid capacity: replace the wire, not the right-of-way. As load growth from data centers, electrification, and advanced manufacturing outpaces new transmission, that advantage compounds — and it is why CTC's technology has moved from simply a better conductor to a strategic tool for utilities and grid operators.

That shift has drawn the companies building the AI economy: in 2025, CTC and Google announced a collaboration to deploy ACCC conductors across the U.S. grid, identifying high-impact projects to roughly double the capacity of existing lines — a signal that transmission capacity is now something the largest power buyers actively secure.

“CTC's advanced conductor technology is well positioned to help mitigate U.S. transmission congestion and increase renewable generation powering the electric grid.”

The Capacity Layer of the Electric Era

Every electrified vehicle, every new data center, every megawatt of renewable generation depends on a grid that can carry it. CTC Global makes the wire that lets it — a field-proven technology at the center of the decade's defining infrastructure constraint, and a clear expression of how Greenbelt invests in the systems that power what's next.
